I'll go first - Mini Sessions with my kids...

First of all, being the photographer for my kids is rough sometimes. You guys might see these pretty little images with two happy kids, but I promise you it was NOT that easy. My daughter is now 2 years old, and she completely understands manipulation and bribes...

It's always an automatic 'NO' anytime I ask if she want's her picture taken. I hate that it has come down to this, but candy is the only way to get this child to smile, and I have to be FAST. We go back and forth a lot, and most of the time I'm the crazy mom jumping up and down and making faces to get even the smallest grin, but you gotta do what you gotta do. That's basically my motto lol. I will try anything and everything to get my kids, and my clients kids to at least give me a little glimpse of a smile and I'll be happy.

My son is still only 9 months, so making him smile is a breeze. Not sure if I'm ready for the time where I have a 3 year old and 2 year old though. I might need some help and prayers!!

My favorite mini session this year is the carnival minis! I LOVE how this drop turned out and I actually got my daughter to smile a couple times. I was really hoping for a photo where my son was on the horse and my daughter was giving the horse a kiss, but when I try to take photos with both of them together it all just depends on my daughters mood at that point. And that day she was not having it with my son there!

For the second picture I went crazy mom mode in order to try and get two smiles at once. Obviously, I failed with my son on this one, but at least Journee smiled. My son is just thinking 'mom's crazy'
