Babies evolve and blossom at an unbelievable speed—that delicate, sleepy newborn phase vanishes almost overnight. In the haze of those initial sleepless nights and soothing cries, it may not feel like it, but time is fleeting, and they're only this tiny and new once—making it vital to freeze their sweetness in timeless, professional portraits.
As a loving mother to my own cherished children, I intimately grasp the profound value of preserving these tender early bonds through stunning, emotion-filled images, all while placing your baby's safety and well-being at the forefront of every session. As a three-time award-winning newborn photographer in Southwest Missouri, I infuse each session with expert posing, soft natural lighting, and heartfelt storytelling to deliver exquisite, heirloom-worthy portraits that radiate the pure wonder of your growing family right here in the Branson and Springfield areas.
Newborn sessions are best scheduled as soon as you discover you're pregnant—the earlier you book, the better to secure your spot! I'll set a tentative date based on your due date, allowing us to pencil in an ideal time frame, and once your baby arrives, we'll confirm and adjust the session date as needed to ensure it fits perfectly for everyone, including your little one's schedule. Sessions are ideally timed when your little one is between 5-14 days old, capturing that fresh, sleepy magic while they're still curling up in those adorable poses.
All sessions take place in my cozy, fully stocked studio in Branson, conveniently located right off Hwy 65, complete with a wide array of props, wraps, backdrops, and accessories to create personalized, heirloom-quality images. Depending on your baby's cooperation and feeding schedule, sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours
For those preferring the convenience of an in-home lifestyle session, an additional travel fee applies, and I'm happy to come to you within a 20-mile radius of Branson.

We have used Michaela’s oneshot photography a few times now for family and newborn photos. We just had another newborn session and she was amazing. The baby was fussy and fighting sleep and Michaela was still able to capture great pictures. And somehow got our almost 2 year old to pose and smile perfectly. We will use her again!
